We Evolve!

As we’re about to embark on this new chapter in our history, I fondly remember another historical time in our country. 2008 - the election of America’s 1st black president. It was also the year and exact time that I toured the Netherlands with the great band from California - Venice. It was just shortly after Obama was elected. We were all elated, as was the rest of the world - happy for our country, evolving with one more step towards acceptance of others. The tour was incredible - so positive and fascinating to see our victory through the eyes of Europeans. Venice consists of the Lennon family…Kipp, Pat, Mark and Michael - 4 of the very best singers in the country and just great songwriters. This song, entitled Evolve is the perfect soundtrack for yet again, another historical milestone in our country. Joe Biden brings empathy, respect and kindness back to the White House and after 4 years of enduring what has been a dark period in our history, things are again changing for the better. As we celebrate this joyful change, I wanted to share this great track we performed live in 2008. Kipp Lennon introduced the song with as much relevance then, as it is today. We can now evolve together and make positive changes. Our former president didn't cause racism but he gave it a megaphone, for his own personal gain. Hopefully this new chapter will again bring us together and more accepting of each other. Also, we get to celebrate history being made once again with our first female Vice President, Kamala Harris! A woman of incredible experience and grace. A woman who represents the minorities in our country. A woman who inspires millions of other young girls to realize their own potential and possibilities. This is a proud time in our country and I’m so excited to see Joe Biden achieve this monumental win, one that he so deserves in his long, amazing career. He’ll bring respect back from around the world. We, as a human family, are once again, Evolving a bit more and it’s so great. We’re all part of the human village. Celebrate!!
